Message sorry for being pissed off, but otherwise the guy needs to really get his shit together. I understand that he has offered a lot of products to the Z world, but his business skills are a joke. I purchased an eprom from him on August 26th. I went through his web page, and paypal'd the money on the spot. I waited weeks, and received nothing, even after calling him and leaving increasingly agitated e-mails, and voice messages. Finally I get an e-mail from him saying that he wasn't sure why the order wasn't processed. (could it be a total lack of organization?), but my eprom was on the way. So, a couple days later I received a totally unmarked eprom. Unlike my previous AshSpec eprom, it had nothing on it. No AshSpec logo, no label with the specifications on it for injector size, transmission type, single pop, or anything other info. No receipt with my order, just an unmarked eprom. I was very dissappointed, especially since I could never prove what this eprom was AshSpec or tuned to 555cc injectors...meaning that I could never sell it to another TT owner. I installed the eprom, and the car runs so rich it will barely stay running. This is with a car that had no problems prior to Deatschwerks 555c injectors (which are flow tested and delivered with a flow sheet), getting spark to all cylinders, passing a leakdown test (no boost leaks), and proper fuel pressure. I have gone over everything, and find zero mechanical problems. It would run very rich if I had received an eprom that had injector values for 370cc injectors. Which seems quite likely given the space-cadet level of customer service I received, and the unmarked eprom. It would be very easy to confuse a black chip with no markings with another black chip with no markings. So, this would only be a minor setback, if only Ash would answer one phone call, or return one e-mail. He has done neither. I also have not received the $130 return on my reflash. I sent him my original ashspec eprom the day after my new one arrived, so should it take a month to credit me? I don't think so. I wouldn't have posted this if I hadn't made every possible effort to contact him for an extended period of time. However, this is possibly the worst service I have ever received in my life, and from a supposed fellow enthusiast. Well he seemed enthusiastic enough to take my money, but that's been it. Ash, if you get this (which I'm sure you will, just like my phone calls, and e-mails) respond asap, or just be prepared to see my payment to you disputed. You should be ashamed.

On a side note, who offers a tuned eprom for 555cc Deatschwerks injectors that I could pay, and then receive an eprom from? I'm sure that in these times of a failing economy, someone would like to EARN my money, instead of taking it.

Also, Mike Deatsch at Deatschwerks is a 1st class businessman. There was a delay in my adapter kit, so I received constant updates from him, and then hand-selected injectors with a 99.1% accuracy of flow between injectors. All at free overnight shipping once the parts arrive. Was I upset about the delay?...a little, I admit, but I was extremely pleased with the professionalism with which it was handled. I can't recommend him and his company more highly. Also, future orders should not have any delays, as the company that was producing the adapter kit was released for their delays, and a new company has taken over. Anyone who runs a business could learn a lot from the way Deatschwerks is run.
